Turning Point
Turning Point is a post-secondary transition program for students ages 18 to 22 who have completed their Senior year and want to continue on with school age programming to continue to earn necessary graduation requirements and develop vocational, daily living, and recreational leisure skills.
At Turning Point we assist students in achieving their post-secondary goals in the areas of employment, education and independent living. Through backwards planning all students and their teams create a roadmap to their desired future. Our program supports each student’s plan through community partnerships with local employers and agencies. Individual career goals are developed and met through job tours, weekly job placements, job shadowing, and internships which are aligned to the student’s individualized preferences, interests, needs and strengths

Classrooms
The Auglaize County Educational Service Center (ESC) takes great pride in supporting families and children with developmental disabilities through our Turning Point program. This initiative is designed to deliver specialized academic and support services, ensuring that children in Auglaize and Hardin Counties receive the attention and resources necessary for their success. By providing access to a dedicated team of professionals—including special education consultants, speech pathologists, and therapists—we make high-quality services both affordable and accessible to each of the 10 school districts we serve. Our Turning Point program not only emphasizes academic achievement but also offers essential support in alternative education, guiding students on their unique journeys through customized programs such as Opportunities for Youth and Day Treatment. At Auglaize County ESC, we are devoted to connecting families with the services they require, cultivating an inclusive environment where every child can realize their full potential.
