Enabling Success for Every Learner.
With a Master’s in Education from Wright State University and over a decade of experience, I am a dedicated teacher with dual licensure as an Intervention Specialist and Hearing Impaired (K-12) Teacher. Since 2010, I have been committed to fostering inclusive learning environments where each student can grow, thrive, and learn.
Teaching has been my lifelong passion; one that began when I was only five years old, organizing "classroom" sessions for neighborhood kids! Today, I bring that same enthusiasm to my work and I feel blessed to be a teacher!
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family including my husband, son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. I also enjoy time with friends, our puppy, reading, collecting children's books, and crafting educational materials.
I am a special education teacher with extensive experience working with and having family members with a range of learning disabilities. I have taught in public and private schools for over 22 years in different states. I have a BA in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University and have completed several Special Education programs from Old Dominion University and Notre Dame University. My passion is history and vocational skills. I have taught in elementary, middle and high schools and I am committed to helping students understand the world around them as they become well rounded and productive citizens. My classes are hands-on and interactive, with a focus on real-world applications. I grew up in Ohio but have lived all over the United States and in Japan for two years. I love cooking, baking, reading, music, and animals. I live on a small farm. All four of my kids are grown up and I have 13 grandkids.
